date of event, 2 and 3 October 2021
It was raining. But, as there was no tornado warnings, heavy downpours, constant lightning, destructive straight line winds... Tilton had their 'fall festival' anyway. So we went over as they were getting it up and running, and took a few pictures.

Just some of the seasonal offerings from the vendors that braved the weather.
Oh, and something of more interest to the Desk:
A local radio station was on hand to cover the event.
One of the free kid's games and crafts available under the big pavilion.
There's also a children's costume contest and parade.
Well, at least one of the vendors was smiling in spite of the weather.
And, of course, lunch was available, and, as you can see from the smoke, that BBQ rig was starting to smell really good:
On Day Two, Sunday, will be the golf cart parade and the rest of the events, and, as it turns out, that's probably RAIN or shine!
The proceeds from the entry fees for the parade benefit the county animal shelter just down the road.
And, of course: tiltonprogress.com will cover it.
